Job Summary: The Elite/Lead Field Service Technician will be responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role works with more advanced and multi/complex systems, proactively troubleshoots systems, works with mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment conditions, conducts preventative maintenance and parts inventory, and anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). Has direct interfacing with customer and may be responsible for work in multiple systems/locations/customers. This role is responsible for the escalation and leveraging appropriate company resources to address issues, both with personnel and customers. Education & Experience Requirements: ยท HS diploma or equivalent Preferred: ยท Technical military background ยท Tech Cert, Degree or industry specific license(s) Experience Requirements: ยท Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, Background checks, etc.) ยท Clean driving record ยท Work experience preferred within industrial water filtration systems ยท 5 to 7 years of technical work experience within industrial water filtration systems Skill Requirements: * Read and interpret P&ID piping schematics for equipment layout and material ordering (Required) * PVC / CPVC Schedule 80 pipe installation, HDPE fusion welding experience with data-logging knowledge (Required) * Plot layout design for equipment placement * Planning, Installation and Commissioning of RO / DI / UF / DNF / DAF and Multimedia Filtration units for short term operating contracts ยท Team lead who works without direct supervision and provides coaching/training to junior-level technicians ยท Technically sound on pipe installations ยท Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices ยท Must have customer service experience ยท Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability ยท Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly ยท Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve problems often in novel and unexpected ways Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
