OVERVIEW
Relias Healthcare is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead the Emergency Department at a community hospital in Louisiana. This is a leadership opportunity for a board-certified emergency physician ready to drive quality and shape operations in a supportive, collegial environment. Facility details will be provided upon initial contact.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide medical direction oversight for the ED, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with hospital administration on performance initiatives
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with facility and Relias administration and team members
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement and risk management plans for the Emergency Department
- Participate in all meetings required by Relias to satisfy contractual obligations and improve facility operations REQUIREMENTS
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred; Board certified FM or IM physician accepted
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Active Louisiana medical license or ability to obtain prior to start FACILITY DETAILS
- 18,000 Annual ED Volume
- 17-Bed Emergency Department
- No Trauma Designation
- 24-Hour Physician Coverage
- 12-Hour Shifts
- 10 Hours of APC Coverage
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
- Specialty Services: OB, Peds, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Nephrology POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- 1099 Employment
