- Responsibilities
- Represent clients in employment law cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment claims.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and provide sound legal advice.
- Participate in client consultations to gather information and discuss legal strategies.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients with opposing parties and their counsel.
- Prepare and present cases in court or before administrative agencies as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in employment law to ensure compliance and inform clients appropriately.
- Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of employment law experience
- Strong background in employment litigation and defence
- Experience with compliance matters, employee handbooks, and employment law counselling
- Demonstrated experience defending school districts
- Significant experience handling PAGA matters
- Commitment to proactive and strategic case management
- Active California Bar license in good standing
