Job Description

The Boeing Company is seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves developing solutions for engineering processes and standards, maintaining authoritative data, and ensuring that changes deliver real value to end users.


Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development, documentation, implementation and consultation for the application of engineering tools, processes and standards
  • Assists with training in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs
  • Assists in the identification and validation of user access roles and tip sheets
  • Supports the development and implementation of standards
  • Assists in providing configuration management, coordinating changes and performing assessments of compliance
  • Assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity
  • Maintains robust datasets, data models, semantic layers, and dimensional models to support reporting and analytics
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize requests, communicate trade-offs, and influence reporting strategy
  • Works under general supervision

Skills

  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a β€œU.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. Β§120.62 is required. β€œU.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
  • 1+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS)
  • Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Level 2: 1+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent
  • Experience using Management Information Systems (MIS)
  • Experience with Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON)
  • Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse concepts
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedule
  • Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry
