They are seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer who will work on projects related to industrial and manufacturing facilities, contributing to the design process and producing construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business
- Be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
- Gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule
- Produce single lines diagrams, electric room layouts, cable tray designs, cable schedules, ductbank designs, installation details as well as grounding, lighting, and power plans
- Contribute to more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the other disciplines
- Establish design requirements and produce construction documents for state-of-the-art manufacturing processes
- Contribute to the overall planning of a project from concept through construction and into commissioning
- Learn the basics of electrical design including The National Electric Code (NEC), Grounding, Lighting and receptacles, Wiring methods such as conduit and cable tray design, How to size and select cables, Selecting overcurrent devices, How to size transformers, Motor lists and load summaries to help in the design of power systems, Learn the basics of drafting and contribute to the development of the drawings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Visa Sponsorship now or in the future is not available for this role
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and desire to contribute/collaborate
- Passion for buildings and construction
