Jacobs is a company focused on solving critical problems for thriving cities and resilient environments. They are seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to support project teams in developing high value solutions and working on a variety of planning and design projects for federal agencies.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams with the development of high value solutions
- Work independently but collaboratively on planning teams
- Support the development of project solutions including analysis, designs, details, specifications, estimate costs
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams or outside consultants as needed
- Supporting planning recommendations developed by the team
- Project validation
- Corresponding documentation in compliance with all applicable client, project, government, and Federal/DoD policies or criteria
- Conduct feasibility studies, Vision Plans, Area Development Plans and Installation Development Plans
- Develop reports, presentations, graphics, construction documents, and specifications
- Provide graphic design elements including deliverable page layouts, various charts/figures, brochures, posters, slide shows, and provision of deliverables in a variety of media formats
- Leverage critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
- Capture information and direction through written note taking, sketching, and graphic development
- Verbally present information to team members and clients regarding work products
Skills
- Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) or a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from an accredited institution
- Skilled in the following software Microsoft Office Applications, Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS
- Candidate will be expected to travel to fulfill this position. Travel is usually a couple of days up to one week at a time, with some instances of two weeks at a time for international destinations
- United States Citizenship required
- Experience with 3d Modeling & Design, Revit, Civil 3D, concept rendering tools, SketchUp 3D Modeling, and Land Fx
- Prior internships with a firm providing landscape architectural services
- Willingness and ability to apply for and obtain a Security Clearance
