They are seeking a motivated new graduate for the role of Entry Level Life Safety Systems Engineer, where the candidate will support the design and development of Life Safety and Security Systems for advanced facilities while collaborating with engineers and design leads.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of Life Safety and Security Systems for advanced manufacturing and research environments
- Collaborate on projects including semiconductor manufacturing facilities
- Interface directly with client counterparts in designing their facilities
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D models in coordination with architects and engineers
- Design fire alarm, smoke and leak detection, security and intrusion detection systems, toxic gas monitoring systems and more
- Provide calculations, equipment size and quantities, equipment and construction specifications, network diagrams and various construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D platforms for a constructible design
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering from an ABET accredited program which provides the ability to attain PE licensure
- Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role
- Actively pursuing The Fundamentals of Engineering exam to get your (EIT)
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year Revit or AutoCAD design experience
- Working knowledge of 3D BIM software (Revit)
- Design experience in Semiconductor Facilities, Industrial Chemical Environments or cleanroom spaces
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
- Knowledge & application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements
- Knowledge & application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm systems and manufacturer's equipment including EST, Honeywell Notifier
- Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, Security, CCTV, HPM, and Leak Detection
- Knowledge of design and construction specifications
