The entry level Municipal Engineer will work on designing and rehabilitating municipal infrastructure, addressing drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater challenges for clients locally and globally. Responsibilities Master planning for “outside-the-fence” assets, including evaluating facility capacity, condition assessments, and preliminary engineering Watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer replacement planning and design, including the development of detailed construction documents (plans, specifications, reports, etc.) Design reports for the recommended sizing of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems based on projected growth and/or climate-driven models Capital improvement plans that prioritize and sequence the needed infrastructure improvements Opinions of probable construction costs Regulatory agency coordination, permitting, project funding and public and stakeholder involvement Skills Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate.
If not an EIT, must be able to obtain this within six-months of hire Working knowledge of capitol improvement plans, sewer and water infrastructure, hydraulics, state and federal standards and regulatory requirements Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Good verbal and written communication skills Experience in preparation of plans, specifications, bolthires estimates, studies, proposals and/or reports Cad experience in AutoCAD, Projectwise and Bluebeam Experience with municipal clients and their agency partners, involving a wide variety of fields including conveyance pipeline design, project management, water/wastewater pump station design Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams of both in-house team members and external partners in planning, design and/or construction Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan
