The Bellevue office is seeking a junior associate to join its Environment, Energy & Resources group, focusing on regulatory matters and litigation for various utilities and regulated clients. Responsibilities Focus on regulatory matters and litigation for electric, natural gas, and water utilities, transportation, marine pilots, and other highly regulated clients Work closely with partners and clients on high‑impact proceedings involving rate cases, clean energy and renewable resource acquisitions, regulatory compliance and enforcement, and related civil and commercial litigation Preparing comments on proposed rules and legislation Skills Strong writing and advocacy skills Demonstrated interest in regulated industries and public law Excellent academic credentials and references One to two years of litigation experience Cover letter, resume, law school transcript and writing sample must be provided Experience in regulated energy operations Experience in administrative and civil litigation Experience in regulatory compliance Benefits Annual discretionary bonus 401(k) plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance Personal medical and parental leave Up to ten paid Holidays Family care benefits Company Overview Perkins Coie is a law firm that specializes on corporate law, litigation, and real estate law.
