Overview

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about workplace safety and compliance? We’re looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and strengthen our safety and environmental programs across multiple locations. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leadership and field teams to help maintain compliance, improve safety processes, and support a culture focused on keeping employees safe.

Responsibilities

Support the EHS Manager in implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and initiatives

Conduct EHS audits and assessments at store locations

Document audit findings, communicate improvement opportunities, and track corrective actions through completion

Follow up with leadership teams regarding compliance gaps, overdue action items, and required documentation

Maintain and organize EHS records including:

Training completions

Audits and inspections

Incident documentation

Corrective actions

Regulatory compliance records

Manage EHS data within systems such as JJ Keller, Microsoft Forms, spreadsheets, and internal tracking tools

Coordinate and track required safety training, onboarding, and monthly safety sign-offs

Prepare and distribute safety reports, compliance summaries, and trend analysis for leadership

Support incident, injury, near-miss, and environmental event follow-up

Assist with environmental compliance documentation, reporting deadlines, permits, manifests, and regulatory submissions

Maintain accurate digital filing systems to support OSHA, EPA, state agency, and internal compliance requirements

Provide support and guidance to field locations regarding EHS processes and documentation expectations

Collaborate with operations, HR, recruiting, and leadership teams to support company-wide compliance initiatives

Follow all company safety rules and regulations

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

3+ years’ experience in environmental, health, and safety, compliance, audit coordination, training administration, or related EHS work, and/or related military experience

Clean Driving record

Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Work, and Outlook

Experience managing records, reports, training documentation, and compliance related files

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments and locations

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Ability to review data for accuracy and maintain a high level of record integrity

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and work flexible hours as needed

Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Experience conducting audits, inspections, or compliance reviews

Experience with safety management systems such as JJ Keller or similar platforms

Experience with training tracking, document control, or learning management systems

Experience in agriculture, construction, industrial operations, or a related industry
