Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager with strong expertise in Epicor Kinetic to lead and coordinate a system implementation from kickoff through go-live and post go-live hypercare support.
This is a part-time contract role focused on driving structured execution, governance, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful ERP deployment.
Role Overview
The ERP Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project leadership, ensuring delivery on scope, timeline, budget, quality, and organizational readiness. The role will serve as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, functional leads, IT, and the Epicor implementation partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Governance
- Develop and manage the comprehensive project plan, milestones, and deliverables
- Establish governance structure, steering committee cadence, and reporting framework
- Define scope, objectives, risk management plan, and success metrics
- Monitor project health, escalate risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead collaboration across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT
- Ensure business process alignment with Epicor Kinetic capabilities
- Facilitate workshops, requirement validation sessions, and design reviews
- Track action items and ensure accountability across workstreams
- Vendor & Partner Oversight
- Manage the Epicor implementation partner
- Ensure consultants deliver per agreed scope and timeline
- Review deliverables for quality and completeness
- Validate configuration, customization, integrations, and data migration plans
- Go-Live & Hypercare Management
- Oversee system testing (SIT, UAT) and readiness assessments
- Coordinate cutover planning and execution
- Lead go-live command center activities
- Manage post-go-live hypercare stabilization and transition to steady-state support
- Qualifications
- Proven experience leading Epicor Kinetic ERP implementations;
- 5+ years ERP project management experience with Epicor Kinetic (or strong Epicor ERP with Kinetic rollout exposure).
- Strong background in ERP project governance and lifecycle management
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
- Demonstrated vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work part-time while maintaining structured oversight and accountability
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Proven experience managing cross-functional ERP delivery (Finance + Operations + IT).
- Strong vendor management (SOW deliverables, timelines, accountability).
- Skilled in RAID management, change control, executive reporting, and structured communication.
- Epicor Kinetic modules: Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, BAQs/Dashboards, BPM, REST APIs.
- Data migration planning and reconciliation experience.
- Integrations experience (APIs/EDI/middleware) and coordination of technical teams.
- Familiarity with security/identity considerations (SSO/MFA/AD/Azure AD).
