Position Title: Executive Director, Enrollment Management Operations Department: Enrollment Management Operations Classification: Staff, Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Vice President, Enrollment Management Location:
Remote within the continental US, with the ability to travel to campuses and other locations. Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position.
The salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $140,000.00. Position Summary Antioch University is seeking an Executive Director of Enrollment Management Operations (ED-EMOps) responsible for optimizing workflow, data utilization, systems management, and project coordination for all departments within Enrollment Management. The Executive Director leads the Enrollment Management Operations (EMOps) team, ensuring operational excellence, system efficiency, and data-driven decision support across Admissions, Marketing, and Financial Aid.
The role guides priorities and alignment across systems in collaboration with the staff who manage CRM, data, and marketing operations, ensuring technical decisions remain with the appropriate subject-matter experts. This role also provides oversight of the Jira project management system, ensuring consistent utilization and project tracking across the division in alignment with SCRUM Agile practices. Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Executive Director serves as a senior operational strategist and key partner in advancing Antioch University’s mission of providing learner-centered education that empowers students to lead meaningful lives and advance social, economic, and environmental justice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management - 30% • Lead and manage the Enrollment Management Operations (EMOps) team, providing supervision, mentorship, and professional development. • Establish a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement that supports the success of Enrollment Management’s strategic goals. • Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and foster high-functioning team dynamics across remote and campus-based staff. • Serve as a member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, division-wide communications, and cross-unit coordination.
• Partner with the Vice President of Enrollment Management to ensure operational priorities align with institutional and mission-driven goals. Data, Reporting, and Analytics - 25% • Oversee development, maintenance, and integrity of data systems that inform institutional decision-making. • Lead the creation of reports and dashboards to provide real-time insight into applications, yield, retention, and other key metrics. • Collaborate with Institutional Research, Finance, and Academic Affairs to ensure consistent data definitions and reporting standards.
• Translate complex data into clear visualizations and actionable insights for executive leadership, the Board, and operational teams. • Implement and manage data governance best practices to ensure accuracy, security, and appropriate access. Technology and Systems Oversight - 20% • Serve as the primary Enrollment Management liaison to the Information Technology (IT) team to identify technology gaps, define requirements, and evaluate system solutions. • Oversee implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Enrollment Management systems including CRM, Marketing Automation, and related integrations.
• Partner with IT on roadmap development, vendor management, and system upgrades to support scalability and user experience. • Evaluate new tools or enhancements that improve automation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. • Ensure technology investments align with strategic objectives and comply with university data security and accessibility standards. • Collaborate with systems and data administrators to set development priorities, remove blockers, and ensure work aligns with institutional timelines and cross-system dependencies.
Project Management and Process Improvement - 20% • Oversee and manage the Jira project management system across the Enrollment Management division. • Establish and enforce SCRUM Agile workflows, sprint cycles, and project documentation standards to ensure consistency and transparency. • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency and alignment across teams. • Develop and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for key initiatives, ensuring timely execution.
• Implement process mapping and workflow improvements to enhance service delivery and resource allocation. Strategic Planning and Cross-Divisional Collaboration - 5% • Support the development and implementation of the university-wide Enrollment Management Strategic Plan. • Lead or co-lead initiatives that connect Enrollment Management operations with Marketing, Financial Aid, and Academic Affairs. • Represent Enrollment Management Operations in meetings with IT, Finance, Institutional Effectiveness, and other partners to ensure coordinated systems and data strategies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance student experiences and enrollment outcomes through better operational integration. Experience and Qualifications Minimum: • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred. • Experience in at least two of the following: CRM administration, business intelligence, systems integration, project management, or business process modeling. • Demonstrated success managing teams and strategic projects, preferably related to technology, workflow optimization, or strategic planning.
• Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM frameworks and experience managing Jira or similar project management platforms. • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and organizational levels. • Experience with ROI analysis, resource planning, and performance measurement preferred. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Proven leadership in managing and developing technical and operational teams. • Advanced understanding of project management concepts and Agile methodologies.
• Strong systems thinking and familiarity with enrollment, admissions, and marketing technologies. • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated success fostering collaboration, managing change, and promoting operational excellence. Hours of Employment
This is a full-time position serving a national university. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with some Saturday and evening hours as well.
