We advise mid-market companies on capital raising and M&A transactions. Our advisory network includes senior professionals from institutions including JPMorgan, Citi, and Lazard, with over $14B in aggregate transaction volume.

Our model combines institutional investment banking discipline with entrepreneurial speed and proprietary deal-origination systems.

Overview

As an Executive Director, your focus is straightforward: win mandates, run sell-side processes, and close transactions.

You'll engage directly with business owners and executives who have already expressed interest in advisory support, guiding them through Palmstone's efficient engagement model — built to convert faster and execute more effectively than the traditional approach.

This is a role for experienced M&A professionals who want full autonomy, deal flow they didn't have to source from scratch, and the infrastructure to execute at an institutional level.

Target earnings: $150,000 – $500,000+ annually, based on deal volume and transaction value. Top performers are uncapped.

    What You’ll Do
  • Engage directly with business owners exploring exits, full sales, or strategic transactions.
  • Lead decisive advisory conversations — diagnose the situation, position our process, and convert to signed mandates.
  • Negotiate and close engagement letters — you own the commercial relationship from first conversation to close.
  • Run full sell-side M&A processes: valuation, materials, buyer identification, outreach, and negotiation.
  • Manage buyer communication, data room preparation, and transaction coordination through to completion.
  • Collaborate with Palmstone's origination and analyst teams to refine targeting and maximize conversion.

    Compensation

    Who You Are
  • 8–12 years in M&A advisory, sell-side transactions, corporate finance, or business brokerage.
  • Proven track record closing sell-side mandates with privately held companies.
  • Deep understanding of valuations, deal structuring, and buyer/acquirer engagement.
  • Comfortable running an efficient advisory process — you thrive on direct decision-making and momentum.
  • Strong presence and credibility with business owners, boards, and acquirers.
  • Entrepreneurial and outcome-driven — motivated by performance, not a paycheck.
