Job Overview
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic account planning and development. Key Responsibilities Client account and relationship management, including developing and executing strategic account plans to drive business growth and expansion Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, including defining solutions and recommending pricing structures to meet client needs and achieve sales targets Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including sales operations, finance, and marketing, to drive business growth and achieve sales approval targets Acting as the primary point of contact for clients until project startup, and then coordinating with relevant business areas to ensure successful execution Leading and assisting with the response to proposal cycles, including working with the proposal team to deliver high-quality proposals in a timely manner Coordinating Bid Defense strategy, ensuring targeted bidding aligns with client goals and objectives Leading efforts to close potential clients for clinical trials as part of the bolthires sales objectives Managing and growing existing client relationships, including identifying potential opportunities to increase account penetration and drive revenue growth Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as sales, marketing, or a related discipline Proven track record of success in sales, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on the pharmaceutical or biotech industry Strong understanding of clinical trials, decentralized trials, and RWE trends and developments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and integrate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and marketing Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities Experience with sales automation systems and bolthires Office programs Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes, including within and outside of the state Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree or MBA, with a focus on business, marketing, or a related field Additional experience in sales, marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in managing complex relationships and driving revenue growth Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including trends, developments, and regulatory requirements Experience with project management, including coordinating and executing multiple projects simultaneously Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
