Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Cyber Threat Analyst to, working closely with a key client within the Department of Defense to identify patterns and anomalous activity, contextualize cyber threats, and provide strategic, operational, and tactical findings to offer actionable evaluations. As a Cyber Threat Analyst at arenaflex, you will be an integral part of our cybersecurity operations, supporting our clients in their mission to protect their digital assets from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities Utilize network and endpoint tools to detect and analyze potential breaches or threat activity Assess the evolution of the broader threat landscape related to the client's demonstration of compromise and associated risks Collaborate with the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and relevant stakeholders to recommend appropriate computer network operations to counter adversary activity Provide alert-driven threat reports using government intelligence sources and arenaflex's knowledge of threat actors' identities, motivations, capabilities, and objectives Develop predictive analytics depicting threat groups and the types of data theft or network attacks these groups would execute Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
You should also have at least 3 years of experience in incident response, with a strong background in network engineering, digital security, and security analysis. Additionally, you must hold an active U.S. Government Top Secret/Delicate Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) clearance. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with commercial data sources (e.g., web search data, passive DNS, domain vault, malware repositories) Experience in the use, processing, and analysis of strategic Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) within an operational environment, supporting monitoring, detection, and response capabilities Experience assessing host and network metric reports of electronic media, packet capture, log data analysis, malware analysis, and network devices in support of intrusion analysis or enterprise-level information security operations Experience with Enterprise security controls and Incident Response Knowledge of security policies and technologies, including Linux, network architecture, implementation, and configuration
