Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Analyst and Insights Manager to at arenaflex. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions across various areas of the company. With a focus on the music industry, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and develop predictive models to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Drive data-driven decision making by analyzing complex data sets and providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization Develop and maintain a deep understanding of client behaviors and trends in the music industry, including music marketing, discovery, and consumption channels Design and implement statistical models and analyses to drive business outcomes, including regression, clustering, and decision tree analysis Extract and analyze large-scale data sets from multiple sources, using tools such as PySpark and advanced SQL to collaborate with the data Apply machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning methods, to drive insights and recommendations Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and understand performance, diving into data to drive meaningful and actionable insights Contribute to organization-wide initiatives through ongoing reporting and analysis to inform business, product, marketing, and sales decisions Lead content performance and audience analysis for product releases, developing and tracking key metrics to measure success Perform statistical analysis, including KPI deep dives, behavioral segmentation, and customer journey analysis, and develop scientific pipelines for automated, flexible, repeatable, and integrated analysis involving current big data models in data ecosystems, such as Databricks, Snowflake, and bolthires BigQuery Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to implement data projects, contributing to discovery, design, build, and QA process, and working on data models, database architecture/table, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and validation parameters Lead and mentor a colleague, defining boundaries to maximize impact in the organization Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on the music industry 3+ years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields Experience developing statistical models and analyses in an industry setting for business use cases, with applied knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning procedures Strong experience manipulating large-scale, transactional data sets and interpreting data patterns from multiple disparate data sources Proficiency in advanced SQL, large-scale data, and numerical computing languages (PySpark) Experience with data mining in distributed systems (Hadoop/Databricks) Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau/Looker) Experience developing scientific software that scales analyses Experience working with media performance data and music industry data Strong experience documenting data requirements, rules, and assumptions Experience communicating complex technical concepts to multiple audiences A passion for building clear, concise, and meaningful metrics A proven track record of using data to drive business value and presenting data-driven insights to business stakeholders Experience influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization Strong time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities Strong attention to detail, without losing sight of broader goals A history of working independently, demonstrating creativity, and delivering results A strong interest in music and the music industry Experience with music streaming services (bolthires, bolthires, bolthires Music, bolthires), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience leading data-driven projects across a broad cross-functional landscape Experience building, managing, and persuading teams in critical support functions A graduate degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields
