About the Role
The Disney Streaming Information and Examination association is seeking a talented Data Analyst to augment our High-Level Investigation, Content team. As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in analyzing complex data sets to inform business decisions, predict content engagement, and optimize our content launch and episode release strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced analytical methods (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions.
- Analyze customer behavior (e.g., genre preferences, viewing patterns) to identify unmet customer needs and untapped content opportunities.
- Predict content engagement to inform acquisition decisions and optimize content portfolio.
- Enhance our content launch and episode release strategies through data-driven insights.
- Test marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention.
- Develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic guidance.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to stakeholders to drive business forward.
- Effectively communicate significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Analysis, with a proven track record of applying analytical techniques to drive business outcomes.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and/or Python programming languages.
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, including decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems.
