About the Job We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics and Power BI Engineer to. As a Power BI Engineer at arenaflex, you will apply your academic curiosity and passion for problem-solving to dive into our massive dataset to help unlock the power of retail data analysis by visualizing, creating, and maintaining Power BI Semantic Information Models that our arenaflex data consumers can rely on. You will work with some of the brightest minds and most enthusiastic Power BI developers in the industry, while collaborating with Product Leads, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to solve complex and exciting challenges so we can work out numerous self-service reporting and analytical products that enable our business to be data-driven while having a positive impact on our customers' lives.
Key Responsibilities Create simple and complex models that are compatible with data warehouse standards, used for ad-hoc and reporting Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence Proficiently utilize advanced-level calculations on the dataset Implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of usage security layer models in Power BI Analyze existing Power BI endeavors with an emphasis on performance improvement Embrace layered modeling concepts Demonstrate strong knowledge of various data modeling techniques for data warehousing (3NF, Dimensional, Hybrid, etc.) Create visual reports, KPI scorecards, and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI desktop and Power BI Service Apply expert analysis skills to create visually compelling data stories and meaningful insights Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of stakeholders with a ability to negotiate with and influence others Work with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and supportive manner Provide skills training to business users Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field At least 4 years of experience in data modeling, data analysis, data warehousing, software development, or a related field Strong knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query Experience with data visualization and reporting tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Significant industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, E-commerce, healthcare, etc.) Experience with business analysis and reporting, bolthires Office, and statistical modeling software
