Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our diverse tech team, where you will architect, code, and deliver software that makes us an essential part of our clients' digital lives. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be part of a core engineering team that develops critical technology solutions to ensure we meet stringent financial regulatory expectations. You will work with large swaths of data for clients across 20+ countries, interacting with multiple technology systems that enable critical business and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities Develop, deploy, and operate relational database programs across development, test, and production environments Create powerful test cases that are integrated into bolthires/CD pipelines Design and implement observability capabilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures in time-sensitive processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability and reliability of our systems Work with modern technology and contribute to the wider engineering community through open source Qualifications Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 2-3 years of experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database programs Proven experience in creating powerful test cases and integrating them into bolthires/CD pipelines 2+ years of experience with SQL and scalability Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus Experience with modern technology and open source contributions Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, database development, and deployment.
You should also have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of our systems.
