- *Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Specialist at careerzynith, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Transcribing source data into the required electronic format using various software applications
- Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
- Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
- Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any discrepancies
- Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
- Using basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines
- Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
- Completing additional assigned tasks as required
- Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry
- *Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
- Experience with MS Office and data programs, such as Excel and Access
- Familiarity with administrative duties, including filing and record-keeping
- Experience using office equipment, like fax machines and scanners
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
- *Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
- Experience working with cloud-based data management systems
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools
- Knowledge of data security protocols and best practices
