Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional Data Science Manager to lead our data science team, focusing on ranking and delivery for our core products, including Feed, Stories, Sharesheet, Notes, and Comments. As a Data Science Manager at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in driving product strategy, analyzing data trends, and developing goal metrics to evaluate product team performance. Your expertise will help us simplify complex problems, up-level our team members, and drive methodical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement goal metrics to evaluate product team performance, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization Investigate ad hoc issues, debug regressions, and develop testing plans to validate statistically accurate results Collaborate with stakeholders, including product teams, data engineers, and cross-functional partners, to drive product strategy and ensure alignment with company goals Analyze data trends to identify opportunities, drive product strategy, and size possibilities to prioritize high-impact work Ensure product methodology has actionable measurement plans, developing new metrics with accuracy and stability, and validating metric accuracy for internal and external reporting Partner with Data Engineering to ensure the creation of accurate metrics, validate accuracy, and oversee the development of reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor product performance Qualifications To succeed as a Data Science Manager at arenaflex, you should possess: Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience in managing diverse team members in a formal or informal capacity Experience in initiating and executing projects with minimal guidance, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills Strong background in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and communication, with the ability to crisply and clearly present complex results to executive audiences Experience in related and unrelated rating, with a focus on standard environment impact and product sensibilities Preferred Qualifications Understanding of statistical analysis and causal inference in an experimentation setting Experience working with large datasets, data engineering, and data visualization tools Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and computer vision Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong technical skills in data science, statistics, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems and drive methodical decision-making Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
