Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to drive our scientific transformation in the Ability Obtaining (TA) space. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a ground-up modification of our insightful capacities, from data entry to complex business transformations and end-user reporting. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary of $45/hour and the chance to work with a talented team of professionals. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with specialists, software developers, and business leaders to define business processes and provide scientific support Utilize code to analyze complex datasets and design, develop, and evaluate data transformations to solve specific business problems Build flexible, efficient, and automated data cycles to facilitate client-facing reporting Automate TA cycles to streamline business operations Communicate verbally or in writing to business clients/initiatives to share insights and recommendations Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analysis, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/numerical programming (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) 3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and methods, and parameters that influence their performance Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate: A graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analysis, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science Experience in a machine learning or data scientist role with a large technology company Skills and Competencies To excel in this position, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Ability to apply theoretical models in an applied environment
