Key Responsibilities As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for: * Providing technical support to content/external teams in regards to the use of content tools, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner * Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization * Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, escalating complex or problematic issues to the tool development team as needed * Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued * Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving innovation and excellence in our content creation processes * Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering collaboration and communication across teams * Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for our team and our users Skills and Abilities To succeed in this role, you will need: * Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles * Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders * Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement * Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues * Self-motivation, with a drive to deliver exceptional results and exceed expectations * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of the importance of reliability and uptime * Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to track and manage issues effectively * Experience with Unity 3D game and tool development, iOS and Android mobile development, and other relevant technologies Education and Experience We are seeking a candidate with: * A Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, with a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of the importance of reliability and uptime * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of game development principles and best practices * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to track and manage issues effectively * iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of mobile development principles and best practices * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and other work-related activities during this time.
