Job Summary As an External Support Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for content teams facing issues with our tools and workflows. Your expertise will help resolve technical problems, create reference materials, and provide training to ensure external teams are up-to-speed with our toolset.
You'll work closely with our tools engineering team to identify areas for improvement, advocate for change, and drive innovation. Key Responsibilities * Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and optimal tool utilization. * Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting self-sufficiency and efficiency.
* Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, escalating complex problems to the tool development team and working with production to track issues in JIRA. * Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and excellence. * Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. * Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact.
* Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting the standard for excellence. Essential Skills and Abilities * Ability to read and understand C# code, with a solid grasp of programming fundamentals. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with external partners and stakeholders. * Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
* Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously. * Self-motivating, with a drive for excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional results. Desirable Skills and Experience * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of technical troubleshooting and problem-solving. * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a solid grasp of game development principles and best practices. * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with a strong understanding of project management and collaboration tools.
* iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a solid grasp of mobile development principles and best practices. * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of excellence and innovation. Education and Qualifications * Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, with a strong foundation in programming principles and software engineering. * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
