The bolthires Business Strategy and Operations Team
Our Business Strategy and Operations team is responsible for driving all go-to-market capabilities for the bolthires Business Organization, including strategy and business operations, analytics and data science, partnership enablement, and product activation.
We shape go-to-market priorities to drive growth and support the business, improve capabilities and competencies to support execution of business priorities, drive performance across business operations, and build great go-to-market infrastructure (e.g., data, reports, dashboards). The Impact Measurement Team As a Business Data Scientist on the Impact Measurement team, you'll be tasked with supporting bolthires to make better decisions. Specifically, your role will be to communicate data's behalf and assist decision-makers in being data-driven.
You'll translate ambiguous questions into business questions, design research to answer those questions, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences while being clear about uncertainty and the assumptions used in your analysis. Responsibilities * Design and lead informal research with a clear goal of answering business questions * Present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executives, business leaders, and cross-functional partners * Serve as a peer-reviewer and representative for causal research designed by other teams * Stay updated with advances in the causal inference literature and develop new techniques when appropriate Key Qualifications * Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Data, Machine Learning, or equivalent relevant experience * Experience articulating business and product questions, and pulling data from datasets using SQL and statistical tools (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc.) * Internship or experience with data evaluation * Experience with Bayesian hierarchical models, Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART), Bayesian Causal Forest (BCF), Gaussian Processes, and Synthetic Control techniques * Experience designing and studying randomized controlled trials * Experience designing and studying causal research using observational data * Experience with statistical data evaluation including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling techniques Preferred Qualifications * Experience with causal inference and machine learning techniques * Experience with data visualization and communication tools * Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL * Experience with data management and analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI

Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time role is $124,000-$182,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum bolthires for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the work area and other factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant training or education.
