Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Center Technician to join our night shift team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center equipment, as well as providing technical support to our customers. You will work closely with our team of experts to ensure the smooth operation of our data centers and provide exceptional support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities * Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices * Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data center equipment and services * Collaborate with our team of experts to ensure the smooth operation of our data centers and provide exceptional support to our customers * Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support to our customers * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, guides, and knowledge base articles * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and operations * Collaborate with our team to identify and implement process improvements and best practices Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * 1+ year of experience in data center operations, technical support, or a related field * Strong knowledge of data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices * Strong technical skills, including proficiency in operating systems, networking protocols, and data center management software * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery * Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in data center operations, technical support, or a related field * Strong knowledge of cloud computing and server farm operations * Experience with data center management software, including BMC, CA, and SolarWinds * Experience with scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, and Bash * Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V * Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes * Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Git, and Ansible Skills and Competencies * Strong technical skills, including proficiency in operating systems, networking protocols, and data center management software * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery * Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation * Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve shared goals and objectives
