Senior Manager, Growth Data Engineering, you'll lead a team of experienced engineers in building scientific data collections that inform our growth and acquisition strategies.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, information science, and design, to develop data-driven insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise will help us measure the effectiveness of our adaptation systems, identify areas for improvement, and inform our product development roadmap. Responsibilities * Lead a team of experienced engineers in building scientific data collections that inform our growth and acquisition strategies * Develop and implement data-driven insights that drive business decisions, including measuring the effectiveness of our adaptation systems and identifying areas for improvement * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, information science, and design, to develop data-driven insights that inform our product development roadmap * Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs * Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines, data warehouses, and data visualizations * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data engineering practices * Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 8+ years of experience in data engineering, growth hacking, and team leadership * Proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving business growth through data-driven insights * Expertise in data engineering, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data visualizations * Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, including AWS and GCP * Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders * Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members * Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 10+ years of experience in data engineering, growth hacking, and team leadership * Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence, including developing and deploying models in production environments * Strong understanding of cloud-based security and compliance, including AWS and GCP * Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment * Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban Skills and Competencies * Strong technical skills in data engineering, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data visualizations * Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members * Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, including AWS and GCP * Experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases * Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban * Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment
