We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team in a remote work environment. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring high-quality data for business and information science needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including information science, to develop and implement data solutions that meet the business requirements.

- Develop and maintain ETL processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing.
- Work with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes.
- Involve data in Cloud, Hadoop, and experience planning and streamlining queries to build data pipelines.
- Develop strong programming skills in Python or other significant languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems.
- Assemble data stores and data models to support Information Science and other internal clients.
- Incorporate data from various sources, ensuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards.
- Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key functions and suggest solutions.
- Explore available tools and consult on new tools to determine the ideal solution given the requirements directed by the model/use case.
- *Essential Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL.
- 5+ years of experience with Python.
- Experience with Cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark.
