Our Data Ventures team is responsible for managing and analyzing the vast amounts of data that flow through arenaflex's systems. We use cutting-edge technologies and techniques to build pipelines and data lakes that enable our business teams to make data-driven decisions. Our goal is to create a single, unified view of our customers, products, and operations, and to use that insight to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities As a
Senior Data Modeler on our Data Ventures team, you'll be responsible for: * Collaborating with our Application Development team to design, develop, and implement data models that meet business requirements * Creating intelligent and accurate data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and support business, analytical, and interactive use cases * Developing, improving, and updating data models to support new and existing projects in accordance with arenaflex's data governance principles * Designing data modeling solutions optimized for social, layered, and NoSQL data sets * Maintaining calculated, coherent, and accurate data models, including corresponding metadata * Establishing standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models * Identifying opportunities for reuse of data models in new contexts * Analyzing actual data models from data sets and SQL scripts * Evaluating data models and actual data sets for discrepancies and inconsistencies * Approving business data objects for accuracy and completeness * Breaking down data-related system integration challenges and proposing suitable solutions * Guiding Framework Analysts, Architects, Developers, and others on project constraints and capabilities, execution requirements, and interfaces * Auditing changes to existing software to improve efficiency and performance * Examining new application design and suggesting amendments as needed What You'll Bring To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A strong academic record and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information technology, data science) * At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, data modeling, data analysis, programming, or a related field * Solid knowledge of various data modeling strategies for data warehousing, including 3NF, layered, hybrid, and others * Experience working with large-scale (100 TB+) data warehouses (DW) or operational data stores (ODS) * Extensive experience building data models for MPP, social, and NoSQL advancements, such as BigData, Hive, SQL* Server, Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloud DBs like BigQuery and Snowflake * Strong experience working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive way * Excellent relational and communication skills across a variety of stakeholders, with the ability to negotiate and influence others About arenaflex Worldwide Tech Imagine working in a culture where one line of code can make a difference in the lives of millions of people.
