Why you'll love this role As an Experienced Full Stack IT Data Governance Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to directly impact arenaflex's data culture. Our IT Data Governance program is built on the principles of data education, stewardship, quality, and metadata management.
You will be responsible for leading the creation, maintenance, and rollout of arenaflex's IT Data Governance capabilities, including: * Data Education (Developing a data-driven organization) * Data Stewardship (Identifying and engaging data specialists) * Data Quality (Ensuring trusted data for success) * Metadata Management (Inventorying data resources and business ideas) * Master Data Management (Experting data) * Data as a Resource (Capitalizing on valuable data assets) * Security and Compliance (Ensuring mindful use and care of data) What you'll do As a key member of our IT Data Governance team, you will be responsible for: * Leading the creation, maintenance, and rollout of arenaflex's IT Data Governance capabilities * Developing and implementing work processes, standards, cycles, strategies, and rules to make IT Data Governance a reality * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable IT Data Governance and data quality guidelines * Working with our IT Data Governance Leadership Board to define and track key metrics and KPIs for each capability * Researching, auditing, suggesting, and rolling out new software * Collaborating with our IT Data Governance Stage team(s) to automate capability processes * Serving as the product owner for capability items * Representing the capability and being the primary advocate All you'll need for success To excel in this role, you will require: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, information technology, data science) * 5+ years of experience in IT data governance, including experience carrying out at least one IT data governance capability in an organization * Experience creating and tracking metrics to measure the adoption and success of IT data governance capabilities * Experience working with business intelligence tools, data lakes, and data warehouses * Experience working with sensitive data (e.g., PII, SPII, PHI) and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) * Experience managing data quality and observability tools Preferred qualifications * Change management experience, identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting * Experience automating data governance processes/workflows using market-leading data governance products * Detailed experience delivering data governance artifacts, such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data development controls, and data component-level data quality controls * Experience as an IT data steward (acting as a data expert, examining, and investigating data access, serving as a product owner for a data item, data space, etc.) * Experience working in DevOps and Agile environments * Carrier, avionics, travel, or hospitality experience Skills and competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: * Strong knowledge of SQL * Solid understanding of data and analytics concepts * IT data governance certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional) * Ability to bridge the communication gap by translating technical governance concepts to the business * Ability to be adaptable in an evolving work model and willing to pivot quickly on areas of focus * Ability to manage projects and teams from idea generation through execution What you'll get As a member of our arenaflex team, you will enjoy: * Travel benefits: Explore the world with your family and friends, with access to over 6,800 destinations on our global network * Medical benefits: Enjoy comprehensive health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to keep you healthy and happy * Health programs:
