Job Summary
As a Pharmacist with Walgreens, you will be responsible for executing patient intervention pharmacy programs, driving pharmacy financial performance, and fostering strong relationships with healthcare networks. You will work in a remote setting, processing prescriptions and providing clinical pharmacy services to patients. Key Responsibilities
- Execute patient intervention pharmacy programs, including medication therapy management, vaccination services, and payer and pharma adherence programs
- Drive pharmacy financial performance by implementing programs to maximize reimbursements while improving patient health outcomes
- Foster strong relationships with healthcare networks in assigned areas and serve as a liaison and representative of the organization
- Provide clinical expertise and support to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Conduct data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications
- Review patient profiles and medication records to ensure safe and effective medication therapy
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and disease management
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and outcomes
Essential Qualifications
- Current pharmacist licensure in the state where you will be practicing
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
- Experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a clinical or patient-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic health records and pharmacy management systems
- Knowledge of insurance plans and reimbursement processes
- Experience with clinical pharmacy programs, such as medication therapy management and vaccination services
- Ability to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses, if necessary
