We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst.
- *Job Summary:**
The Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst will create geographic data for assigned areas, design computer-generated maps and reports, and provide administrative support to local Deal Makers. This role requires a strong skillset in geographic data systems, data analysis, and communication.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Design computer-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned areas using MapInfo as specified by local Deal Makers.
- Process requests and inquiries directly from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials.
- Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and analysis of data as assigned.
- Provide administrative support to local Deal Makers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative needs as specified.
- Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and organization, ensuring all office equipment, ensuring computers are working accurately, recording, booking deliveries, and requesting office supplies.
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic data systems.
- Strong understanding of geographic data systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis and insights presentation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Proficiency in MapInfo.
- Experience working with geographic data systems and data analysis.
