Job Summary As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for performing approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and helping customers with any questions. You'll undertake an intermediary role between potential clients and our financial institution, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Your goal will be to help qualified applicants obtain loans in a timely manner while protecting our organization's credibility. Key Responsibilities and Duties * Make outbound and receive inbound calls to communicate with customers and potential clients * Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts, using our proprietary software systems * Use basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions * Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally * Maintain a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers * Follow written and/or verbal instructions, adhering to our company's policies and procedures * Work within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures that govern our industry * Process card payments accurately and efficiently * Perform the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems * Review applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan * Follow up with customers to clarify important points and ensure they understand their loan obligations * Finalize loan details and keep customers informed in rules and obligations * Remain up to speed regarding lending and other financial services, staying current with industry developments and trends * Create and renew records, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation * Identify customer needs, explore all options availability to customers, and provide personalized solutions * Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and change quickly with the needs of the company * Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously * Meet monthly individual goals as set by management, demonstrating your commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction Essential and Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of High school diploma/ GED * Excellent Customer Service skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner * Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations * Proficient with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems * Proficient use of MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage Skills and Competencies Required for Success * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively * Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude * Strong technical skills, with proficiency in software applications and technology
