Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of sales strategies, analyzing market trends, and providing insights to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives in allocated categories Analyze critical data and integrate findings and recommendations into Category Plans (e.g., optimal SKU mix, loyalty programs, special projects) for marketing programs Drive strategic execution of daily assortment activities (e.g., works off-shelf plans, tracks promotional period, and performs present analysis to make corrective actions if necessary) Collaborate with an internal team of arenaflex experts in Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Marketing, and Store Operations Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock Create and maintain areas of strength for competitive analysis; seek out new competitive opportunities and make recommendations Stay up-to-date with changes in the market Research customer product preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive environment Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and have working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application.
Technical expertise in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some Access or other database knowledge is also required. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, experience in marketing, data analysis, or a related field would be highly desirable. The ability to travel 5-10% is also preferred. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines is also essential.
