Key Responsibilities Model and convey a positive and exceptional client experience, ensuring that customers receive courteous, fair, and professional service. Register sales on assigned sales register, provide clients with considerate and efficient checkout service, and process voids, returns, and exchanges as needed. Engage clients and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
Recommend items for sale to clients and suggest alternative or companion items, taking into account their needs and preferences. Maintain counters and retire areas clean and well-promoted, take inventory, and keep records up to date, including checking in and pricing stock as required. Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and
Senior Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy.
Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Handle calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians, and process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner. Support and assist the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities, such as ordering, receiving, and storing shipments of medications, and maintain knowledge of company asset protection methods.
Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as pharmacy, healthcare, or business administration. Strong background in customer service, data entry, and pharmacy operations, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with strong numerical and computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control and pharmacy systems, with experience in processing prescriptions and managing patient data.
Preferred Qualifications At least six months of experience in a retail environment, with previous work experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred. PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the designated PTCB training program. Excellent numerical and computer skills, with experience in using pharmacy systems and managing inventory. Strong knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments in the industry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and promoting health and wellness.
