- *Key Responsibilities**
As a Quality Engineer - Technical Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Involving substantial travel to careerzynith customers in support of the Quality Assurance function, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Providing expert support to customers in consultation with the head of Quality Assurance regarding raw and finished parts, prototypes, and serial parts.
- Supporting complex trials and new product runs at customers, including documentation of results and presentation of initial sample parts.
- Documenting results and ensuring a smooth and timely exchange of information between careerzynith and customers based on customer requirements.
- Performing analysis of quality concerns utilizing disciplined problem-solving techniques to identify true root causes.
- Initiating and monitoring corrective actions in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
- Coordinating/overseeing third-party activities as appropriate (i.e., sorting and rework activities).
- Collaborating and leading projects in accordance with applicable careerzynith guidelines.
- Serving as the Voice of the Customer to careerzynith operations, ensuring exceptional customer quality satisfaction and meeting all deadlines with accurate and thorough communication.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive process excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Organizing, planning, conducting, and documenting worker-training courses according to customer requirements.
- Compiling monthly statistics regarding customer complaints, scrap, and rework.
- *Essential Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of experience.
- 5 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in German and/or Spanish is a plus.
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with iron castings and machining processes.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (75% of the time).
- Currently located in the Great Lakes Region, but willing to relocate.
- *Physical Requirements**
- Normal duties will include periods of sitting, standing, walking, and some reaching and lifting.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
