Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Investigation and Conduct Change team. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in developing industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms to support the transformation of healthcare. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $26/hour and the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team to deliver impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities Implementing models, developing tools, and algorithms to optimize processes related to the claims environment Identifying and measuring opportunities for analysis to improve efficiency and increase automation in claims settlement and claims adjustment Creating, validating, and executing algorithms and predictive models to investigate issues, identify patterns, and recommend solutions Analyzing, comparing, and interpreting large volumes of data in various formats Performing analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems Utilizing advanced statistical techniques and numerical analyses Creating data models and pipelines to integrate, collect, and standardize data that generates insights and addresses reporting needs Using data visualization methods to communicate analytical results and support business decisions Assessing and evaluating the data needs of assigned projects and ensuring the integrity of the data Investigating existing data and suggesting additional sources of data for enhancements Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics At least 2 years of significant analytical experience, preferably in the healthcare industry Experience programming using R or Python Experience with SQL and data management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex systems Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as a Master's or Ph.D.
Experience working with healthcare data and analytics Knowledge of machine learning and predictive modeling techniques Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Certification in data science or a related field Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex systems Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and quality Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong knowledge of data management and analytics principles and practices
