Senior Compliance Analyst – Direct Imports to at arenaflex. As a key member of our Compliance and Regulatory Affairs department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S.
Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, as well as international trade laws and regulations. You will work closely with our import teams to ensure that all imports are compliant with relevant regulations and that our company's interests are protected. Key Responsibilities As a
Senior Compliance Analyst – Direct Imports, you will be responsible for: * Ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) * Identifying and resolving compliance issues related to imports, including classification, valuation, and documentation * Developing and implementing compliance programs and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements * Collaborating with import teams to ensure that all imports are compliant with relevant regulations * Providing guidance and support to import teams on compliance matters * Analyzing and interpreting regulatory changes and updates to ensure that our company's compliance programs are up-to-date * Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies and industry associations to stay informed about regulatory developments * Providing training and support to employees on compliance matters * Conducting audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements * Identifying and mitigating compliance risks Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: * 3+ years of experience in a compliance or regulatory affairs role, preferably in the import/export industry * Strong knowledge of U.S.
Customs and cooperating government organizations' regulations, including the HTS and NAFTA * Experience with import classification, valuation, and documentation * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines * Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international trade, business, or law Preferred Qualifications * Experience with bolthires Office, particularly Excel and Word * Experience with import management software and systems * Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) * Experience with compliance auditing and risk management * Certification in a related field, such as Certified Import Specialist (CIS) or Certified Customs Broker (CCB) Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong knowledge of U.S.
