Job Overview We're seeking an experienced
Senior Data Analyst to join our Information Adventures team. As a
Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in uncovering data insights and experiences, working closely with our Item and Information Science teams to deliver exceptional business results. This part-time remote data entry job offers the unique opportunity to work with large datasets, identify trends, and tell stories through data, all from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities Embrace business data requirements and analyze business systems and processes to identify the most appropriate data sources for purpose.
Support the identification and application of statistical methods based on needs, aid in the design, plan, and execution of exploratory data analysis research projects. Translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks, creating specific deliverables. Identify suitable techniques/tools to be used to provide a solution to the problem, working closely with Data Scientists. Produce appropriate graphical representations of data and model results. Understand client requirements to design suitable data representation for different datasets.
What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for problem-solving, accompanied by an analytical mindset with critical thinking and data skills. Experience working with large datasets, finding insights, and telling stories using data is essential. You should be proficient in playing with massive data, writing code and queries in SQL, Python/R for data analysis, and have comprehensive knowledge of Database technologies and distributed data stores (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), as well as Big Data and Cloud technologies like GCP BQ.
Familiarity with visualization tools and best practices such as Looker, PowerBI, etc., is also required.
