Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be part of the Core AI group, a research and development organization that collaborates with partners across the company.
You will address "big picture" issues with strategic initiatives, aiming to deliver transformative, long-term value. Your primary focus will be on developing machine learning models to enhance the job search experience, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize these models. Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a Data Scientist at the Matching and Relevance Team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Preparing datasets, training, and optimizing models, and maintaining and enhancing model inference services Researching and applying new techniques from open-source applications and research publications, and creatively adapting models to solve business issues across arenaflex Developing machine learning models from prototype to production, implementing best practices for evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps Collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization on model inference and product applications Participating in code review and process innovation for software engineers and data scientists on the team, and reporting your work Balancing technical and product thinking, and demonstrating ownership for team goals and arenaflex's mission to help people get jobs Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (such as Computer Science, Math, physical sciences, social sciences, or related fields) 2+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer Significant domain expertise with training, fine-tuning, and evaluating large models Knowledge and hands-on experience working with Deep Learning Libraries (such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Huggingface, etc.) Basic operating knowledge of Java is preferred Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Prior experience in production machine learning transport at scale Knowledge of recommendation systems, specifically ranking algorithms Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills in machine learning, deep learning, and data science Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong ownership and accountability for your work, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
