Senior Data Scientist to work remotely and lead our data analysis and machine learning efforts. As a
Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for applying advanced data science techniques, predictive analytics, and machine learning procedures to provide insights and recommendations that drive business growth and development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, analysts, software developers, and business leaders, to define product requirements and offer technical support.

Key Responsibilities Construct models and tools using specialized knowledge in machine learning, statistical modeling, probability, and decision theory, and other quantitative procedures. Enhance models by adapting to new modeling methods and systems. Analyze large datasets to identify business insights and develop meaningful solutions.
Apply scientific rigor and statistical techniques to analyze large datasets, using advanced statistical methods, such as predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design, analysis, and data mining. Develop recommendations and improvement algorithmic plans, perform data retrieval, complexity analysis, and scientific computing. Program using tech stack Python, PySpark, Matplotlib, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other relevant tools. Perform machine learning procedures, supervised and unsupervised algorithms to build predictive models and prescriptive solutions for various business use cases.
Assemble algorithms like decision trees, regression, XGBoost, K means, anomaly detection, interpretable ML, Bayesian theory, and other relevant techniques. Use distributed computing on Azure/Databricks, querying in Snowflake, and other cloud-based platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and offer technical support. Communicate verbally and in writing to business clients and leadership teams with varying levels of technical expertise, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations.
Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative, or computational capabilities OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative, or computational capabilities. M.S. in STEM, computer science, information systems, physics, mathematics, statistics, data science, machine learning, or a related field. At least 4 years of experience working with large-scale, complex datasets to create/enhance machine learning, predictive, forecasting, or optimization models.
Advanced experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, or other programming languages. Advanced skill in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and selection, identifying patterns, analyzing distributions, visualizing results, and extracting insights to help business make informed data-driven decisions. Experience using decision trees, building classifiers, and other machine learning techniques. Experience with cloud ML platforms, distributed computing, data pipelines, cloud data stores, and serving engines.
Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and other experimental designs. Advanced skill in communicating complex technical ideas and considerations to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results. Experience effectively communicating technical solutions and advocating to research scientists, engineering teams, and business audiences. At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
At least 2 years of direct management, indirect management, or cross-functional team leadership experience. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in STEM, computer science, information systems, physics, mathematics, statistics, data science, machine learning, or a related field. Experience working with IoT, Edge AI, and other emerging technologies is a plus. Experience in Support Learning and other machine learning techniques is a plus.
