This role is an integral part of the Engineering Group within the Integrated Operations Division at arenaflex. As a
Senior Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing engineering support for the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This position also establishes and assists in maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities Conduct training for Technicians in area(s) of expertise Act as a mentor to other Engineers Serve as a team leader/coordinator over project management or issue resolution Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities, as required, and ensure that Engineering procedures are properly validated in accordance with relevant regulations and company manuals Develop customized procedures and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals Stay informed about daily airline operations, including field of responsibility, and review daily needs according to aircraft/departmental objectives and management directives Analyze aircraft/component issues that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or disruptions in maintenance activities, and determine appropriate corrective actions Provide Engineering support as needed to resolve discrepant situations affecting aircraft or components to restore operational status Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support operations or resolve issues Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursue detailed solutions in accordance with estimated needs Coordinate with other airline departments, as necessary, to ensure effective and efficient implementation of engineering procedures Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical procedures by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensure that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements Utilize available resources to build levels of technical expertise and practical experience consistently, and strive to improve communication skills, time management, and other personal attributes relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties Effectively engage with frontline colleagues and management alike Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field or related Engineering license At least 1 year of engineering experience in a related field, or 2 years of experience without a degree An A&P license Knowledge of bolthires Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and more Ability to analyze technical data and make informed, data-driven decisions Demonstrated ability to take on new roles and responsibilities, with a willingness to learn and grow Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations that promote acceptance of solutions Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with internal and external clients effectively Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Advanced degree in an Engineering field or related discipline Additional years of engineering experience in a related field Specialized training or certifications in areas relevant to the role Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong technical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with colleagues and clients at all levels Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to pivot in response to changing priorities and deadlines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
