Senior Internal Audit Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission. You'll be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns, and providing actionable insights to our leadership team. You'll work closely with our internal audit team to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Your expertise in data analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools will be essential in helping us make informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities * Work with internal audit staff to identify and execute on scientific and automation opportunities within internal audit * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand risks and business processes * Create, maintain, and improve investigation answers to provide business insights that guide key decisions and uncover improvement opportunities * Plan, perform, and record data analysis methodologies to approve the sufficiency and effectiveness of business processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance * Conduct examinations concerning data questions and weave those findings into a compelling story to be meaningful for business stakeholders * Evaluate and maintain the quality and accuracy of data being used by working closely with business and Data Warehouse teams * Proactively monitor risk to identify patterns that are sources of risk or potential issues, determine underlying drivers, and work with colleagues on follow-up steps * Survey data sets for completeness and accuracy by linking them to sources of truth What You'll Need * Four-year degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data Management, or a related field with a scientific or quantitative emphasis * Strong SQL skills with a working understanding of databases, ETL processes, and data visualization on unstructured or unclear data sets across different business capabilities * Ability to develop production-level code * Shown experience with BI Tools (Tableau, Power BI, Knime, OBIEE, Alteryx, etc.) * Experience deciphering data, designing metrics, and analyzing results using exploratory as well as statistical procedures * Related knowledge driving ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) work * Experience presenting findings to colleagues across the organization, including senior management * Fantastic technical skills and a strong passion for data analysis and exploration, and should also be mentally inquisitive in the pursuit of answers to the circumstances and logical results of business outcomes * A self-starter mindset and ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Demonstrated analytical skills using SAS, R, or Python * A basic understanding of statistical methods like regression, predictive modeling, estimation, time series analysis, and clustering and apply those to answer business needs (fraud analysis and anomaly detection) * Ability to manage dirty data and uncertainty and both unstructured and structured data * Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, or internal audit with data analysis What We Offer * Competitive Pay: arenaflex regularly offers competitive pay rates and compensation packages to its employees.
