Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) is a public crown corporation dedicated to delivering major infrastructure projects in British Columbia. The Facilities Coordinator role involves providing coordination, administrative, and technical support for the Facilities team in accommodation projects, as well as managing building security and facilities services. Responsibilities Supports in the coordination of accommodation projects such as workspace assignment, office moves, space redesign and office renovations Supports in scheduling work activities, tracks progress, identifies issues and prepares status reports Maintains a tracking system to ensure all team initiatives, deliverables, communications, reporting, and submissions are documented and progressed Conducts analysis and inventory regarding user equipment, products, materials, furnishings, and makes recommendations to departmental managers on feasibility, practicality, and purchasing Responds to and completes all work orders in a timely manner; or escalate as needed Coordinates the scheduling and management of repairs and maintenance, minor works, and other work requests, tracking to completion Assists in providing or coordinating basic facility support services to employees such as arranging HVAC adjustments, picture hanging and paint touch-bolthires; coordinates building security (administering keys, FOBs, security codes and access keys for staff and contractors) and safety Provides support to business continuity planning by gathering data and tracking emergency contact information Assists in moving furniture as required Acts as backup Emergency Warden when needed, supports in coordinating earthquake/fire drills and ensures staff safety needs are addressed and escalated as appropriate Coordinates workplace recycling and waste management programs Schedules, facilitates, and attends regular meetings to track and report on project activities Skills Post-secondary education in business administration, project management or related education and some relevant experience in facilities coordination, property management and space planning or, an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of building, construction and utilities regulations/codes, standards as well as ergonomics, BC Fire Code Regulations, worker safety and hazardous materials regulations Ability to work independently Excellent oral and written communication skills Comfort with and ability to hold others accountable, even those not in a formal reporting relationship Ability to analyze options and risks and effectively communicate orally and in writing Strong organizational skills to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail You must be legally authorized to work in Canada An offer of employment is conditional upon the completion of an acceptable current criminal record check Benefits Vacation starts at five weeks and with an additional one day per year of service to a maximum of six weeks.
