Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Facility Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in conducting primary source verifications and managing end-to-end credentialing processes for facilities. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the highest level of integrity in our credentialing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Β Conduct primary source verifications in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Β Prepare and process end-to-end credentialing packets for facilities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Β Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate timely credentialing and re-credentialing processes.
Β Maintain up-to-date and organized records of all credentialing activities.
Β Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., NCQA, URAC, Joint Commission).
Β Serve as a point of contact for credentialing inquiries, both internally and externally.
Β Develop and maintain strong relationships with facilities and governing bodies.
Qualifications:
Β Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility credentialing, including primary source verifications and full-cycle credentialing processes.
Β Comprehensive knowledge of credentialing standards and regulatory requirements.
Β Experience working in a health plan or health system is highly desirable.
Β Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Β Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Β Proficiency in credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Β Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Β Familiarity with NCQA, URAC, or Joint Commission standards.
Β Certification in Credentialing (e.g., CPCS or CPMSM) is a plus.
