About the position

Responsibilities


  • Provides primary care to patients.

  • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.

  • Conducts patient interviews and collects diagnostic data.

  • Performs physical examinations and specialized procedures under physician direction.

  • Documents care delivery in medical records.

  • Provides patient education and trains healthcare professionals.

  • Functions as a clinical expert in a community-based mobile health environment.

  • Collaborates with clinical partners and academic colleagues.

  • Participates in clinical precepting and evaluation of nursing students.

  • Monitors patient care appropriateness and documentation standards.

  • Conducts interdisciplinary conferences to resolve patient issues.

  • Identifies and documents patient, family, and community education needs.

  • Recommends procedural changes for clinical problems.

  • Participates in research activities to improve patient care delivery.

  • Assists less experienced staff in interpreting diagnostic data.

  • Serves as a resource of advanced clinical knowledge.

  • Participates in orientation and professional development activities.

Requirements


  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.

  • Licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia.

  • Two years of clinical nursing experience.
