Expert-Level | Part-Time | Remote (US Only) We are seeking an experienced Federal Contracting & Procurement Specialist to support our organization in preparing for a large upcoming federal opportunity for a US Federal Department contract. This role is ideal for someone who has: β’ Extensive experience navigating federal acquisitions, β’ Hands-on familiarity with BPA, IDIQ, MAS, and open-market competitive procurements, β’ A track record supporting businesses through pre-solicitation, market research, proposal development, and compliance. We are looking for a trusted advisor who can help us ensure our internal approach, documentation, and processes align with federal expectations and who can guide us through the key steps of preparing a competitive, compliant proposal package. RESPONSIBILITIES β’ Review government-issued documents (SOO/SOW, RFIs, Sources Sought, evaluation criteria, etc.) and provide expert interpretation. β’ Advise on the most strategic acquisition pathway and compliance needs β’ Assist with shaping proposal structure: technical approach, management plan, staffing, past performance, pricing rationale, and compliance matrix. β’ Provide guidance on documentation requirements such as org charts, key personnel qualifications, QA plans, risk management frameworks, and reporting structures. β’ Help identify potential gaps in capabilities or documentation and propose mitigation strategies. β’ Ensure our response aligns with federal procurement standards, plain-language style, and proper formatting. β’ Support us with stakeholder mapping and building the connections for securing this contract. β’ Proven experience managing contracts through GSA/GSA Prime. REQUIREMENTS β’ US-based (citizenship or permanent residency required). β’ Minimum 5+ years experience in federal contracting, procurement, or acquisition strategy. β’ Strong understanding of FAR, government evaluation processes, and common contract vehicles. β’ Experience supporting large-scale federal bids for training, technology, staffing, or professional services. β’ Ability to translate government requirements into clear, actionable internal guidance. β’ Strong writing and compliance skills; experience crafting or reviewing federal proposals is a major plus. β’ High attention to detail and comfort working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. β’ Prior experience supporting small businesses or organizations new to federal contracting. β’ Experience advising on cost structures, BPA pricing strategies, or service-based proposals. ENGAGEMENT DETAILS β’ Estimated 10-20 hours over a 2-3 week period, with potential extension depending on scope. β’ Work will be remote, flexible, and asynchronous with occasional check-ins, be ready to jump on calls that help us move quickly through the entire process. β’ Competitive hourly rate for senior-level expertise. β’ Available immediately Apply tot his job
