The Field Service Engineer II will support customer needs by providing installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic instruments, ensuring patient health and well-being. Responsibilities Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue Skills Associate's degree with 3+ years of field service experience or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with 1+ year of experience or related field OR Equivalent military experience (Applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis) Ability to travel β up to 90%, including frequent overnights Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT system upgrades A lab or hospital environment Benefits Paid time off Medical/dental/vision insurance 401(k) Company Overview Leica Biosystems develops laboratory workflow solutions for anatomic pathology involved in the advancement of cancer diagnostics.
