Interim Financial Controller – DUK&I Shape the financial backbone of a complex, fast‑moving business We’re looking for a hands‑on, commercially aware Financial Controller who can bring order, rigour, and confidence to a multi‑entity, multi‑system environment. This is a role for someone who loves financial control, thrives on complexity, and knows how to build trust through accuracy, governance, and rock‑solid balance sheet discipline. What will your day look like: What you’ll lead Own end‑to‑end financial control across DUK&I, ensuring true balance sheet integrity Drive a smooth, accurate, and timely month‑end close , every time Oversee and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are resolved quickly Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and group policies Act as the go‑to contact for auditors , leading the year‑end audit with confidence Strengthen governance across multiple finance systems and processes Identify opportunities to improve controls, processes, and data quality Support the development of a consistent finance operating model across the region Lead, coach, and develop finance team members within your remit Knowledge and Abilities: What you bring Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Deep experience in financial control and balance sheet management in complex environments Comfortable operating across multiple entities and systems (3E, Sage, D365, Planful a plus) Strong understanding of reconciliations, statutory reporting, and financial governance Confident engaging senior stakeholders and non‑finance teams Pragmatic, delivery‑focused, and always looking for ways to improve This is a role for someone who wants to take ownership , bring clarity, and leave things stronger than they found them.
