University of Houston System is hiring a Financial Coordinator for Liberal Arts & Social Sciences. The role involves managing the financial operations of a college division unit, including maintaining accounts, coordinating cash handling, generating financial reports, and supervising financial support staff. The coordinator also participates in budget development and ensures compliance with university policies.

- Manage and reconcile financial accounts, monitor revenues and expenditures.
- Coordinate cash handling functions such as petty cash and travel reimbursements.
- Compile recurring and ad hoc financial reports, assist with budget cycles.
- Maintain an internal accounting system linked to the Financial Reporting System (FRS).
- Supervise and train staff and student workers on financial document preparation.
- Coordinate payroll functions, property inventory, and serve as property custodian if required.
- Research and correct reconciliation discrepancies.
- Serve as liaison to Office of Grants and Contracts on financial matters.
- Participate in the annual budget development process.
- Requires minimum of three years of related experience and basic education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
- Salary range: $18.32 - $20.60 per hour.
